A branch of my growth project where I experimented with printing. The piece above was my first trial at printing. I used lino, poly and etching prints.
A development of my printed artworks, this time applying prints directly to walls instead of on a piece of paper. I was trying to make it look like the artwork was growing up the walls and onto the ceiling
A development sketch of slime mould using ballpoint pen on my project about growth. Analysing how things spread over surfaces.
A development page which led up to the following sculpture.
A sculpture made by stuffing a sheet of fabric and stapling it to a wooden board. It was made for my project on growth.
Testing potential sculpture materials by carving expanding foam.
A development exploring growth and how nature takes over. I made this by stuffing pieces of fabric and attaching them to a jacket.
A continuation of my experiments with textiles. I wanted to make a more striking piece by covering an entire part of the body.
Practicing portraiture for my 'Inside/Outside' project, where I explored how people portray themselves instead of showing their true personalities.
First I obscured the eyes to represent hidden personalities, then started covering larger sections by adding glitch effects to drawings in photoshop.
A continuation of my glitch drawings, I chose to do David Bowie as he gave a good visual representation of the ideas I was trying to convey due to his multiple stage personalities.
Inspired by artist Manny Robertson, I started covering larger sections of the face using different photos of the same person. I then moved on to using more literal masks.
More observations inspired by Manny Robertson, made by sewing into images, drawing lines with pen, and creating images in photoshop. I was unable to finish this project due to COVID-19.
Observations from a project titled 'Paper' where I looked at origami, folding and drawing it.
